What is Homoeopathy?

Homoeopathy is a complete system of natural medicine, based on clinical and experimental data, that has been used globally for over 200 years. The word Homoeopathy is derived from two Greek words “Homeos pathos” meaning “similar suffering.”

Homoeopathy is an holistic treatment which focuses on the individual. It recognises that all symptoms mental and physical are an expression of an inner disturbance or imbalance and aims to treat the individual as a whole person and not the symptoms in isolation. Homoeopathic remedies are specially prepared using immeasurably small doses of substances derived from animal, vegetable and mineral origin.

The remedies stimulate the body’s innate healing power, balancing the whole system and encouraging its natural ability to heal itself. It deals with the root cause of the problem, rather than temporarily relieving or suppressing the symptoms. As a result it can provide patients with deep and lasting improvements in their health, ideally to a level where they are no longer dependent on medication or therapy.
