How to take and store your Homoeopathic Remedies

Homoeopathic remedies usually come in the form of small hard tablets, although they can be soft or in powder or liquid form. The remedies have a slightly sweet taste and dissolve under your tongue. You must avoid eating, drinking or smoking for fifteen minutes to half hour either side of taking the remedy. Strong substances should be avoided in the few days before and after taking the remedy e.g. mint, coffee, eucalyptus, menthol and camphor (commonly used in cold medicines). These substances can antidote the remedies, rendering them ineffective. The remedies must be stored away from strong light and smells and kept in a dry, cool condition. They must also not be put through x-ray.
